About The Author

Born 1945 in Pasadena CA. Raised for the most part in Lake Arrowhead CA. My stepfather was a merchant seaman and a writer. My mother worked for the LA Times, also as a writer. Drafted into the Army in 1966, I spent 23 years on active duty with the Army Reserves and CA National Guard. I was rated in helicopters and spent most of those years flying. I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. I worked at United States Lines for a decade and Flying Tiger Airlines about the same amount of time. I have a BS in Business Management, a MBA in Operational Management, and taught Information Technology, Project Management and Business Ethics, at the college level. I retired in 2010 to my cabin in Truckee, to snow ski and write this book.
